COMMERCIAL PILOTING

JOB DUTIES

Commercial pilots fly aircraft to transport passengers or cargo. They create and follow flight plans, operate aircraft systems, and communicate with air traffic control to ensure safe flights.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Private Pilot Certificate

  • Instrument Rating

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate

  • Multi-Engine Rating

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate

  • Optional: Any Bachelor's Degree

JOB DUTIES

Air traffic controllers guide airplanes on the ground and in the air, giving pilots instructions to keep flights safe and organized.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • 3 - 5 Month Training at the FAA Academy

  •  2 - 4 Year Training as a Developmental Controller

  • Optional: 2 - 4 Year Degree in AT-CTI or Any Bachelor's Degree

AVIATION MAINTENANCE

JOB DUTIES

Aircraft and avionics mechanics and technicians fix and maintain aircraft parts and systems, including engines and electronic equipment, so flights are safe and reliable.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • FAA  Airframe Mechanics Certificate

  • FAA Powerplant Mechanics Certificate

  • Aviation Maintenance Apprenticeship or FAA-Approved Aviation Maintenance Technician School 

JOB DUTIES

Airport managers oversee daily airport operations, including staff supervision, safety and security compliance, budgeting, and coordinating with airlines and government agencies.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or Finance

  • Optional: Accredited Airport Executive Certification
